Student Athletic Association Intramurals
The Student Athletic Association encourages St.Clair's students to make constructive use of leisure time to acquire new physical skills and enhance fitness. The S.A.A. intramurals programs stimulate social interaction with other students, facilitating the development of proper attitudes and sportsmanship.
Intramurals Include:
Recreational activities, individual and team sports, competition, tournaments, day trips, and special events.
You Can Participate If:
You are a full-time student who has paid the Student Service Fee. Part-time students do not have the sevice fee built into their tuition costs and therefore must pay it before participating. Varsity team members are not allowed to compete in their respective sports with some exceptions (Check individual sport rules).
You Can Sign Up By:
Visiting the Student Athletic Association office in Room 283A. Sign up sheets are available for all sports/activities.
Team Sports Require:
A list of team members with student numbers, along with a team name, a captain or contact with a local phone number. Also, fill out an availability schedule. Any changes to the team list must be made prior to game time with the S.A.A. office. Classes are encouraged to sign up as a team. This facilitates scheduling since timetables are similar and classes are eligible for awards at the Athletic Awards Banquet. If you sign up individually you will be drafted onto a team.
When & Where:
Games are scheduled according to your class/team availability sheet along with gym and field bookings. Check with your individual convenor concerning your schedule. Most of the team sports are held on the South Campus in the gymnasium and on the playing fields. Ice Hockey is played at South Windsor Arena. Special events and tournaments are held at various local businesses in Windsor and the surrounding area.
