Andy Kiss - Head Coach

Kiss is a Windsor native and took the helm of the Varsity Women’s Basketball program starting in the 2013-14 season.  He has led the Saints to the playoffs and the OCAA Championships in all seven of his seasons finishing no worse than 5th place in the West Region regular season while compiling a 0.685 winning percentage.  Kiss has collected three OCAA provincial medals including a Bronze in his first year (2014) and back to Silvers in 2019 and 2020 along with two appearances at the CCAA National Championship tournament.  Kiss was the 2019-20 recipient of the St. Clair Inter-Collegiate Coach of the Year Award which is presented annually to the Saints Varsity Head Coach whose teams exemplify a high level of performance, sportsmanship, dedication and leadership. 

Before St. Clair Kiss coached 27 years at St. Anne High School amassing 24 combined Championship victories at the highest level (AAA or AAAA), 16 WECSSAA Titles, 7 SWOSSAA Titles and 1 OFSAA Championship (2007 Senior Girls) in addition to an OFSAA Silver Medal (2006, Senior Girls Basketball) and an OFSAA Bronze Medal (2012 Senior Girls).  He was the recipient of the WECSSAA Tier I “Coach of the Year” (1999 & 2000), Ontario “Coach of the Year” (2006-07) and the OFSAA Leadership in School Sport Award (2013). 

Kiss is an NCCP Level II certified coach whose club experience includes 11 years with the Tecumseh Saints Basketball organization where he earned four Provincial Medals (2 Bronze, 1 Silver, 1 Gold).  The most recent medal performance was a Division II Gold Medal at the Major Midget Boys U16 level in May of 2013. 

His playing background includes a 1980 All-City and All-Canadian Selection at Windsor’s W.F. Herman High School, an Ontario Provincial Team Selection (1980), a full-ride Scholarship to Central Michigan University and 3 seasons at the University of Windsor (1982-84 & 1986).

Phil Milanis - Asst. Coach

Milanis came aboard with Head Coach Andy Kiss in the 2013-14 season having already worked with him at St. Anne's High School along with the Tecumseh Saints Club Basketball program.  He takes an active role in the recruiting effort researching and scouting the next Saints to take the court for St. Clair.  During his time the Saints have earned three OCAA provincial medals and participated in a pair of National championship tournaments. 

Before coming to St. Clair, Milanis was an assistant coach for Kiss in 2006 & 2007 with the 1994 Girls Tecumseh Saints Division I and II OBA basketball team.  In 2008, 2009 and 2010 he was an assistant coach to Bob Loebach of the 1996 Girls Tecumseh Saints Division I OBA basketball team.  In 2009 and 2010 Milanis participated with the OBA ranking committee as representative for the St. Clair Region.  
 
In 2009, 2010 and 2011 he was the Head Soccer Coach for the 1996 Girls Regional District Club (Eastside Kickers) and in the Summer of 2013 he volunteered for the International Children's Games as a site planner and field coordinator for girls and boys soccer.

 
Amanda Milanis - Asst. Coach

Milanis is a Tecumseh native and joined the coaching staff in the 2018-19 season having already been with two different Saints teams in the past.  She began playing her club basketball for the Tecumseh Saints before joining the Windsor Valiants JUEL program (2012 & 2014) which was split by a season with the St. Clair JUEL team in 2013.

She also graduated from St. Anne High School in Lakeshore leading the Saints to three WECSSAA Gold Medals (2010-2013) and three SWOSSAA titles (2010-2013).  With Milanis as the starting point guard, St. Anne earned a pair of quarter-final finishes and a Bronze Medal in 2012 in three OFSAA appearances at the ‘AAAA’ level.  During her high school years, she also competed in soccer playing L3 travel for the Regional District Club Eastside Kickers program from 2009 to 2011.

Milanis was individually recognized as a 3-time WECSSAA 1st Team All-Star selection (2011-2014) and named the league’s Most Valuable Player in 2013.  She was also voted the St. Anne Team MVP in 2013 and 2014.  Milanis went on to play two seasons as part of the Wilfrid Laurier University Golden Hawks program (2015-17) and then transferred home spending a year with the University of Windsor Lancers in 2017-18.

Milanis gained coaching experience from both the Wilfrid Laurier Basketball Summer Camp (2014 & 2015) and the Lancer Basketball Summer Camp (2017) programs.  She has volunteered for the Windsor Valiants House League Basketball program (2017) and for the CIS Women’s Basketball Championships held in Windsor (2014).  She also gave her time to the International Children’s Games as a field official in 2013 and as a Group Leader to the Pinecrest Adventures Camp for Hemophilia Ontario (2018).

Milanis is currently finishing her undergraduate studies at the University of Windsor in Communications, Media, & Film towards attaining a Bachelor of Arts Degree.

 
Andrea Kiss - Asst. Coach

Kiss joined the Saints Women’s Basketball Coaching Staff in the 2018-19 season after an impressive playing career which culminated with four seasons as part of the Windsor Lancers program where she contributed to three OUA Provincial Championships followed by three CIS National Championships. 

She began playing with the Tecumseh Saints club program that allowed her to eventually compete with the Basketball Ontario Midget Development Program (MDP) in 2009 and then the Juvenile Development program (JDP) in 2010.  She also played two seasons (2010 & 2011) for the Windsor Valiants club program where she was named a JUEL League All-Star in her final year.  That spring boarded her to a position on the U-17 Provincial Team where she helped Ontario to a National Championship in 2011.

Kiss is a St. Anne High School product where she led the Saints to three WECSSAA Gold Medals (2008-10) and two SWOSSAA titles (2009 & 2010) where they went on to earn two quarter-final finishes at OFSAA.  She was individually recognized as a 2-time WECSSAA All-Star in 2009 (2nd Team) and 2010 (1st Team) in addition to being voted the St. Anne Team MVP in her final season.  While at St. Anne she also competed in volleyball, soccer as well as track and field. 
 
Kiss gained coaching experience from the Lancer Basketball Summer Camps (2012-2014) and with the Ontario Regional Development team staff in 2014.   She was also a Tecumseh Saints Saturday Morning Basketball Coaching Assistant from 2008-2010. 

While at the University of Windsor she was a member of the Lancer Student Athletic Committee from 2014-2016 further demonstrating her leadership skills.   Kiss completed a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Windsor followed by a Master of Science in Genetic Counseling from Wayne State University.
