St. Clair Women's Softball Gain US Transfer

Windsor, ON – The St. Clair College Women's Softball team is pleased to announce the commitment of Kirsten Kipfer (Mitchell, ON) to the Saints heading into the 2024 season.

Kipfer is a 5'8" pitcher/utility player out of St. Michael Catholic Secondary (Stratford, ON) and after several successful seasons with the London Lightning club program spent last year at the University of St. Francis (Joliet, Illinois).  While with London she helped her team to a 4th Place finish at the 2022 Ontario Summer Games after winning the U17 Grand Valley League title and followed it up with a 5th Place at the U19 Canadian Qualifiers in 2023.  Kipfer is an excellent student having achieved Honour Roll status her entire high school career as well as making the Dean's List at St. Francis.

St. Clair Head Coach Doug Wiseman was elated with the commitment saying, "We are excited to add Kirsten to our program as she is a great fit for our team with her competitiveness and personality.  She will provide depth to our rotation as she pitches with confidence and poise.  Kirsten also swings a heavy bat and displays not only power in the circle but at the plate as well."

Wiseman continued, "We believe Kirsten will not only be an impact player for the Saints but also make an impression in the OCAA.  We look forward to seeing Kirsten represent St. Clair Softball."

Kipfer will be enrolled in St. Clair's Fitness and Health Promotion program this fall.
