Windsor, ON – The St. Clair College Women's Softball team has a busy weekend ahead in OCAA regular season action hosting Conestoga College (Kitchener) on Saturday and top ranked Durham College (Oshawa) on Sunday. Saturday's doubleheader has game times of 2:00pm and 4:00pm while Sunday's matchups are scheduled for 12:00pm and 2:00pm at the SportsPark diamond. The Saints are tied for 3rd Place currently with Conestoga at 9-5 and Durham is undefeated atop the standings at 14-0.
St. Clair 4th year centerfielder Judy Lafleur (Essex, ON/Essex) leads her team in batting with a .479 average (5th OCAA) and 8 stolen bases (5th OCAA). 2nd year 3B Reese Grondin (LaSalle, ON/St. Thomas of Villanova) continues to provide the punch leading the Saints with 14 RBI to go with a .356 batting average. 1st year pitcher Danna Juarez (Airdrie, AB/George McDougall HS) has a 4-2 record so far with a 2.72 ERA while adding a .300 batting average at the plate for St. Clair along with 8 RBI.
All the games will be live streamed at https://ocaa.live/ and Fan Appreciation sponsored by the Saints Student Athletic Association Inc. will be providing hats, t-shirts and cow bells to the first 100 spectators and the St. Clair Softball team members will remain after the completion of the games to sign autographs.
