Bio

Gianni Ferri was appointed Head Coach of the St. Clair College Men’s Soccer program in February 2025 after serving as an Assistant Coach during the 2024–25 season.

A native of Windsor, Ontario, Ferri developed his game locally before moving to Michigan to compete with Vardar FC. His success at the club level earned him multiple call-ups to the Canadian Youth Men’s National Team, while also serving as captain of Team Ontario. He later joined Toronto FC for his senior year of high school.

Ferri holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Michigan State University, where he competed on scholarship from 2019 to 2022.

Following six years of seasonal volunteer coaching, Ferri was named Head Coach of the Windsor TFC U16 Boys team in 2023. In that role, he led the club to a 24-3-1 record and its first-ever WRSL championship. He has also spent time in Italy further developing his coaching philosophy with Juventus FC and Hellas Verona FC.

In his inaugural season with the Saints, Ferri guided the program to a third-place finish in the OCAA West Division with 17 points—an improvement of 10 points over the previous season. The Saints earned Ferri's first playoff victory with a win over Cambrian College before falling to Seneca College in the quarterfinals.

Ferri’s impact continued during the indoor season, as he led the Saints to a bronze medal at the 2026 OCAA Indoor Soccer Championship—the program’s first podium finish since 2016–17. St. Clair capped off an impressive 7-3-1 campaign with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over the Fanshawe Falcons in the bronze medal match, securing the program’s best result in nearly a decade.
