Cross-Country Finds Caribbean Talent

Windsor, ON – The St. Clair College Cross-Country program will be welcoming a top runner from the Caribbean after the commitment of Love Joseph who hails from The Bight Settlement in Providenciales of the Turks and Caicos Islands.

The 6'0" Joseph has competed in middle-distance and long-distance track and field running events and was a nominee for the National Male Sportsman of the Year Award after earning the most points while being part of the top team at the National High School Championships.  His most recent personal best times are 1:57 in the 800m, 4:15 in the 1500m, 9:44 in the 3000m and 17:21 in the 5000m.  Joseph is the National Junior record holder for the Turks and Caicos in the 1500m and 5000m.

Joseph is a high school honour roll student at the prestigious all-male Anglican high school Kingston College in Kingston, Jamaica but also attended Clement Howell High School in his home country.

St. Clair Cross-Country Head Coach Josh Zilles was excited about the Joseph commitment saying, "Love brings strong international experience and a proven ability to compete at a high level in distance events.  He is known for his work ethic and competitive drive which we expect will add valuable depth to our roster and strengthen the Saints when we lineup."

Joseph will be studying in St. Clair's Biomedical Engineering Technology program beginning this fall.
