Cross-Country Cap Season at National Championships in PEI

Charlottetown, PEI – The St. Clair College Men’s Cross-Country team along with a lone Women’s entry competed at the 2025 Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association National Championships held Saturday afternoon at the Mark Arendz Provincial Ski Park at Brookvale Nordic in North Wiltshire, Prince Edward Island which is 25 minutes west of Charlottetown.
Men’s Cross Country and Currie Race to Provincial Silver

Mount Hope, ON – The St. Clair College Men’s Cross-Country team were led by rookie runner Brendan Currie (LaSalle, ON/St. Thomas of Villanova) at the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association Provincial Championships which were hosted by Mohawk College (Hamilton) on Saturday at Marydale Park in Mount Hope, ON. The Men’s team were back on the podium with a Silver Medal result while Currie achieved the same individual honour after finishing only 23 seconds from the top spot.

St. Clair College Names Zilles Cross-Country Head Coach

Windsor, ON – St. Clair College and the Department of Athletics are pleased to announce that Josh Zilles will assume the Cross-Country Head Coach position effective immediately. Zilles replaces the recently retired Paul Boots who stepped back after leading the Saints for the past ten years.

Cross Country Enjoy Hosting National Championships

Windsor, ON – The St. Clair College Cross Country team competed well as host of the 2024 Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association National Championships held Saturday afternoon in ideal conditions at Windsor’s Malden Park. Mild temperatures with low winds greeted four conferences from across the nation representing 38 schools and allowed for 98 starters in the Women’s race with another 100 competitors in the Men’s event.
St. Clair Set to Host CCAA Cross-Country Running National Championships

Windsor, ON – St. Clair College is set to host the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association Cross-Country Running National Championships at Windsor’s Malden Park on November 9th. This will be the second time the Saints have presented the event to collegiate teams from across Canada which was held at the same site in 2003 and was the second cross-country championship in the CCAA’s history.

Cross Country Misses Podium at OCAA’s

King City, ON – The St. Clair College Cross Country team were unable to reach the podium for the first time since 2015 at the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association Provincial Championships which were hosted Saturday by Seneca Polytechnic at their King Campus in King City, ON that saw 16 OCAA schools compete in the meet. The Saints were 4th as a team in the Women’s event amongst 10 schools that had 60 runners while the St. Clair Men finished 5th against 12 other teams with 75 total racers. St. Clair was fortunate to have three individual athletes finish as members of the OCAA All-Ontario Teams.
College Cross Country Working Towards Peak

Scarborough, ON – The St. Clair College Cross Country team ran in their fourth event of the season on Saturday at Centennial College’s Meet held on the grounds of their Ashtonbee campus in Scarborough. The Saints continued to work towards peak performance as the Women’s team placed second with the Men’s team finishing third.
Cross Country Race Well in London

London, ON – The St. Clair College team continue to be very competitive against the rest of the province and raced well in their third event of the season on Saturday at the Fanshawe College Invitational in London, ON. The Saints were 2nd Place as a team in the Men’s event and in a tightly contested Women’s race placed 3rd.
Cross Country Improves in King City

King City, ON – The St. Clair College team competed in their second event of the season on Friday at the Seneca King Campus Invitational in King City, ON showing improved results in both genders. The meet saw eight OCAA schools participate where the Saints were 2nd Place as a team in the Women’s event and the Men finished in 4th Place.
Cross Country Fair Well in Host Meet

Windsor, ON – St. Clair College hosted the first event of the OCAA Cross Country season Saturday at Windsor’s Malden Park in hot conditions as 14 schools from across Ontario participated in the meet. The Saints were a little shorthanded due to injury but still managed a 3rd Place finish in the Women’s team event while the Men were 7th.
